  1. Profile information - including name, address, occupation, contact details, date of birth, nationality, health-related information, identity card number, passport numbers and place and date of issue thereof;
  2. Employment related information - including current employer, nature of position, medical benefits and benefit usage information;
  3. Reference on health condition - including information obtained from a medical professional for a reference on the health condition of customers;
  4. Technical information - including IP address, browser type and version, time zone settings, browser plugin types, operating systems and platform, device information (including where mobile device the IMEI number, wireless networks and general network information); and
  5. Information which is in the public domain.

If you make use of any social media features or platforms, either on our website, an application we provide, or otherwise through a social media provider, if any, we may access and collect information about you via that social media provider in accordance with their policies. When using a social media feature, we may access and collect information you have chosen to make available and to include in your social media profile or account, including but not limited to your name, gender, birthday, email address, address, location etc. Our access to this information may be limited or blocked based on your privacy settings with the relevant social media provider.

We will usually identify any information which is mandatory when we collect the information from you. You may choose not to provide us with the requested data, but failure to do so may inhibit our ability to provide information and services to you or to respond to your enquiries.

Why do we collect your personal data and how may it be used by the Company?

Personal data is collected for the following purposes (“Purposes”):

  1. providing medical and healthcare services through clinics, doctors, and other medical and healthcare service providers and provision of related products and services (including, without limitation, appointment booking, medical consultation, treatment, processing registrations, requests and enquiries, administration, processing, investigation or analysis of claims, and any functions and activities incidental to the provision of such products and services) (the “Products and Services”);
  2. enhancing care coordination across the Company and its direct and indirect parent, subsidiaries and affiliates (the “Group” and individually referred to as “Group Entity”) and/or our partner healthcare providers for better outcome;
  3. providing personalised medical information, health information, information of our Products and Services,
  4. processing billing and payments, insurance claims, and/or collecting amounts due from you;
  5. processing your request for registration as a user of the Company’s application, portal and/or website(s) and administering your user account;
  6. verifying your identity before providing the Products and Services;
  7. operating, maintaining, evaluating, improving troubleshooting problems, and understanding your preference(s) with the Company’s application, portal and/or website(s);
  8. improving the experience of the Company’s application, portal and website(s) and ensuring the data collection purposes can be fulfilled by collecting information through cookies and other tracking technologies;
  9. promotional or marketing purposes;
  10. performing statistical or other research and data analysis related to the provision of the Products and Services;
  11. exercising the Company’s rights in connection with the provision of the Products and Services to you from time to time;

Unless permitted by applicable laws and regulations, we will obtain consent from you if we wish to use your personal data for purposes other than those stated in this Privacy Policy Statement.

The Company may retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it is collected or as otherwise required to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Company applies reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use including limiting physical access to data within the Company's systems and encryption of sensitive data when transferring such data. Reasonable steps will be taken to delete or destroy the information when it is no longer necessary for any of the purpose above.

Who may be provided with your personal data?

  2. third-party doctors, healthcare or educational institutions, medical and healthcare service providers or laboratories;
  3. any agent, contractor or third party service provider, including but not limited to any service provider within the Group, which provides services to the Company in connection with the operation of its business including, administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment, data processing, storage, investigation, debt collection, technology outsourcing, mailing and printing services and other services in connection with the Company’s operations, the Products and Services;
  4. any authorized person or organization in connection with the Products and Services provided by the Company to you (such as your employer, insurance company (or its service provider) or insurance broker);
  5. any other person or entity under a duty of confidentiality to the Company or the Group including any Group Entity which has undertaken to keep such data confidential;
  6. any person or entity to whom the Company or the Group is under an obligation or otherwise required to make disclosure under the requirements of any law or regulations, code of practice, guidelines or guidance given or issued by any legal, regulatory, governmental, tax, law enforcement or other authorities, or self-regulatory or industry bodies or associations binding on or applying to the Company or the Group or with which the Company or the Group is expected to comply, or to establish, exercise or defend or to protect legal claims, to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company or the Group, all of which may be within or outside Hong Kong and may be existing currently and in the future;
  7. any actual or proposed assignee, transferee, participant or sub-participant of the Company’s rights or business;
  8. third party reward, loyalty, co-branding and privileges program providers;
  9. co-branding partners and/or marketing partners of the Company and/or any Group Entity (the names of such co-branding partners and/or marketing partners can be found in the registration form(s) and/or promotional material for the relevant services and products, as the case may be);
  10. external service providers (including but not limited to mailing houses, telecommunication companies, telemarketing and sales agents, data processing companies and information technology companies) that the Company engages for the purposes set out in paragraph (1)(ix) of this Privacy Policy Statement; and
  11. other companies who help gather your information or communicate with you, such as research companies and ratings agencies, in order to enhance the products or services we make available to you.

From time to time, the Group or the Company may purchase a business or sell one or more of the Company’s business(es) (or portions thereof). In the event that the Group or the Company purchase(s) a business, the personal data received with that business would be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy Statement if it is practicable and permissible to do so. In the event that the Group or the Company sell(s) any of the Company’s business(es), provisions will be included in the selling contract requiring the purchaser to treat your personal data in the same manner required by the Privacy Policy Statement.

Your personal data may be provided to any of the above persons who may be located in other jurisdictions or territories to that in which you are located. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in other jurisdictions where any Group Entity is located, or jurisdictions where a third-party contractor is located or from which the third-party contractor provides us services.
